Description
The Hidden Side of Leadership – 22nd January 2026
Leadership is rarely what it looks like from the outside.
Behind the titles and confidence, leadership can feel lonely, heavy and uncertain. You are expected to have answers, stay visible and keep moving, even when the path is unclear. These are the parts of leadership we rarely talk about.
Nurture Network Live Bitesized is a half‑day experience in central London created for people who are leading, building or stepping into leadership. Founders. Small business owners. Scale‑up leaders. And those coming up through the ranks who want a more honest picture of what leadership really asks of you.
This is not about polished success stories. It is about real conversations, practical insight and shared experience – the kind that helps you feel less alone and more equipped for what lies ahead.
You will be in the room with leaders from organisations including the Bank of England, Lloyds, Barclays, Fidelity, LinkedIn, London Fire Brigade, and high‑growth founders from the femtech and retail space.
The day opens with a powerful keynote from Dwayne Fields, sharing lessons from his life as the first Black Briton to climb Mount Everest — a perspective on leadership, resilience and what it takes to keep going when conditions are tough.
You’ll then hear from a jam‑packed panel which brings together leaders from the London Fire Brigade, the Bank of England, George Imafidon MBE from the world of STEM entrepreneurship, and Vic Redgrave, a senior leader from Fidelity, to explore the realities leaders rarely share: pressure, credibility, confidence, and how to keep going when leadership feels heavy.
Later sessions include Visibility and Leadership: Building a Brand That Works for You, featuring Becky Schnauffer from LinkedIn alongside Ronke Lawal, founder of Ariatu PR.
We then move into Leading Through Change, with Matthew Chapman, CEO of SB‑FM; Nur Dulin, Global Brand and Communications Director at Endava; and Susan Allen‑Augustin, Co‑Founder of Here We Flo.
The day closes with a fireside conversation on building belonging with Khalia Ismain – exploring what belonging really means in leadership and entrepreneurship, and sharing practical advice on how to build a sense of belonging, whether you’re leading within an organisation or building something of your own.
Nurture Network Live Bitesized is proudly supported by Fidelity and Barclays, with Startups Magazine as media partners. The event takes place at Barclays Eagle Labs in Shoreditch.
If you are looking for clarity, connection and a more honest conversation about leadership, this is your room.
